Tabletop Teacher

No word on the winner at my local shop yet This, is Astramis.  Astramis is home to a key star port for the Konor system, named for Guilliman's adoptive father on Macragge. A large hive world, this represents a large population centre in Ultramar. This is where Chaos has landed first, and where Guilliman has arrived to defend his home. This is where the Mu'gulath Bay Avengers have come to seek revenge for their burned home world: Avengers assemble! Having donned the blue of T'au blood, these are grim faced and determined soldiers. Their leader, the yet-to-be named Ethereal, holds aloft the new symbol for Mu'Gulath Bay... a single blue jewel wreathed in orange flame. At once both sombre about their history and hopeful for the bright future they won defending their home, they look across the battlefield to see who else has landed. That guy in the back is a lictor Really big gun Huge biomechanical monstrostiies roamed to shattered ...

Battle was met on Saturday in a gruelling 5 hour slugging match. The Avengers of Mu'gulath Bay held their own, but found themselves hopelessly outgunnned after the loss of a reckless ally! It's just past midnight here in the UK, and despite some drying texture paint, the Mu'gulath Bay Avengers are complete! Avengers assemble! An unknown Shas'vre is the de facto Fire caste leader of this group The Ethereal's staff shows the blue of Mu'gulath bay surrounded by fiery orange... a dark reminder of their vengeance The survivors of Mu'gulath Bay... once the most optimistic of T'au, now changed by their world's destruction Once a colony world, the sept still displays the ochre of the T'au homeworld  Embittered by the Imperium's Exterminatus, they travel to Konor... on which side will they fight? Okay they're certainly not Golden Demon quality, but I'm really pleased with how the army turned out. That blue colour is gorgeous! I'm really going to need to sort out the small buts of detail, but they should be good enough for table top. Okay, tired now. Off to bed... for tomorrow we fight! Unti...

As of 12pm today the undercoating for the miniatures was done. I've just started getting colours on the T'au, and hope to have everything done by the end of today. Until later today! It's 1am here in the UK, and the army is ready for painting! Mu'gulath Bay... out for revenge I'm going to have to cheat a bit though, and borrow some missile pods and marker drones from my existing T'au. I don;t think they'll mind. Okay, time for bed. I'm going to have to be quick with this, as it looks like I've got a fairly hard dead line to meet. Here are my new acquisitions: All the paints and models for this weeks project! The models are new, but all the paints and brushes are my own, collecting from nearly a year of dabbling in various colour schemes. I need to start construction now though, as the battle starts this Saturday! Match this Saturday!! If the Mu'Gulath Bay septians want to get their revenge, they're going to need to be painted up to tabletop standard by the weekend! Before I get going on that though, Games Workshop has a progress card for you to collect and work through on the campaign.
