T'au Mu'gulath Bay Cadre Fireblade Conversion Gallery

Image
Finishing off a conversion job I started a long time ago , the Cadre Fireblade is complete just in time for the release of the 8th Edition T'au Codex. My Mu'gulath Bay T'au are unlike most other sept worlders. Having been subjected to the worst Exterminatus inflicted by the Imperium, as well as being the target of a huge crusade and focal point for the literal ripping of space-time into the warp, the Mu'gulath T'au in my army are not the happiest bunnies in the Empire. None more so than this Fireblade, who has felt some distinctly un-Greater Good feelings stirring in his chest after seeing his universe literally torn apart around him. His armour is whispered to have been ripped from a Space Marine in single combat, and loaded with the usual suites and devices available to a Fireblade. Crippled from a suicidal charge a Leman Russ mounted Knight Commander with a sack of EMP grenades, he now rides a modified drone to battle. At his core he is still a T'au...

Aeldari New Year: Warp Spider Conversions

Image
"Chuc mung nam moi!" as they same in my adoptive home town, and Happy Year of the Dog as they  say in my actual home village! As part of my continuing Aeldari/Eldar renovation project, I've finally sat down and finished doing the tabletop standard paint job on my Hellion Converted Warp Spiders! If you're looking to convert your own, the bare plastic models can be seen here . These were entirely constructed from the Hellion kit. You can also see from my Basing with Rocks guide a bit more detail on how to put these together. As for the paint job, it was just a dry brush version of my Blood Angel Painting Guide , using Carrabourg Crimson instead of Agrax Earthshade. About as simple as you can get, but missing an awful lot in terms of detail. They will definitely need some blue and green bits added in to tie them to the rest of the army. And for those lore sticklers, yes, they're going to need some soul stones. Until next time! Thank...

Happy Valentine's Day from The Imperial Florists!

Image
A day late, but minor catastrophes abound when you're in my job. My fellow neck beards... Valentine's Day is typically a day of sadness, regret, and far too much junk food. Indeed, I remember a time where I ate an entire Valentine's Day pizza set for two on my own, tears of loneliness garnishing my pepperoni and mozzarella shame. But if you have shared in such disgrace, there is hope, and I speak to you now as someone who finally rolled that natural 20 on his Relationship check! Stay strong and keep on rolling! For my darling wife, who somehow manages to still put up with me and my plastic soldiers, and a full year of wasting yet more time writing about plastic soldiers, I have created another flower holder. This time, a Reiver of Love, from the Imperial Florists (who base themselves in the Imperial Palace making sure the place looks fresh). This time I was able to use Screamer Pink, with a pin wash of Carrabourg Crimsom. Highlighted with Daemionette hi...
