This is my latest dreadnought to add to my Space Marine Field Police: The nameless Space Marine Field Police Dreadnought Blue top lights flashing! Only the judged and sentenced see his back... Unlike Judge Dreadnought, he doesn't have a name yet. I'd like it to be somewhat Robocop themed, but have to admit, I've drained my creative genius in coming up with Judge Dreadnought. This is why I'm a teacher and not an artist... In the true spirit of the internet, I'm opening this up to the public to help name this law-bot. Something suitably law enforcement themed, and preferably similar to Robocop, but that fits in the 40K universe. He's a more venerable looking dreadnought, so this may be someone older than Judge Dreadnought. He has the hand shaped power fist, rather than the claw, so perhaps a little more human than the Judge, who is Law incarnate. The best name will be chosen, and this dreadnought shall forever be known by it, ...

Since Rise of the Primarch dropped, the Games Workshop marketing team has decided to take a wise breath before dropping any more bombs on the Warhammer World. It's been a very busy month for them, with new Stormcasts and what effectively amounts to three new mega factions in 40K, so we all need to take a bit of a breather. That said, we've had a few new rumbles of model releases coming out, so let's dive in! Latest Rumour Engine This is probably the next step in the chain alluding to Genestealer cults arising on Terra, as the spidery outlines and teeth look distinctly alien/tyranid to me. However, we shouldn't ignore the Age of Sigmar possibility, as that skull, whilst having no eyes, could also be a rat skull. Despite Skaven heavily featuring in the lore of Age of Sigmar (their little gnaw holes creating the rat version of the webway) they haven't had a great deal of new stuff... and by that I mean any new stuff, aside from a Blood Bowl team...

Whilst the dust settles on an impressively busy week, I'm dipping back into to Tabletop Engineer files to post for tonight. This Week in Warhammer up tomorrow, along with a double-barreled paid post. As a reminder, these kit bash guides are a little old, and actually before any AdMech models were widely available from Games Workshop. Take it away Engineer! Being an Adeptus Mechanicus nut I always wanted my very own army to represent this secluded and relatively unknown faction of the Imperial alliance. Previous attempts at making an AdMech force was met with failure as the procedure to convert viable models was long, labourous and quite difficult to replicate consistently (usually consistency is not a problem for the AdMech but I wanted some coherency to my force). The Trooper The kitbash I settled for was a conglomeration of the Tau Firewarriors,  Imperial Guard and Forgeworld bits. Judge Dreadnought here to educate you. It should be a Tabletop Engineer post today, explaining how he made his AdMech Techguard. However, I'm stealing back my blog for the day to do a how to guide on Free Hand Writing. I saw this picture on the Twitters made by the amazingly helpful Cadian Shock : He was practicing free hand painting on the underside of one of his tanks. So, in an effort to get noticed by a more long term and bigger blogger (a shameless act of self-promotion), I thought I'd bump this guide up earlier in the schedule. You might remember the above Judge Dreadnought from previous posts. It has the motto of my home made chapter on it, the nameless and numberless Space Marine Field Police (SMFP)! "Nos es Legis" ("We are the law" in low Gothic) is their first motto, but I may change it out for a more manly sounding "Nos es Lex". What's often lost on some parents and educators these days, is the art of gently being mean to students. Now please don't misunderstand me... in this current climate of rabid political correctness and over-zealous moralisers, a statement like that could be taken, plastered across the media without context and have me fired within a week. Let me be perfectly clear: Do not be cruel to your students. But at times you have to stop supporting them. Over the last few months I noticed my young neophytes somewhat stalling in their progression to true neck beardom. They had the models, and had the enthusiasm, and most were even getting some good painting done. But they weren't really learning the game. Those times we did play, I was often doing all of the thinking for them. Instead of arbitrating rules disagreements, I was playing the role of DM in telling them exactly how much dice to roll and when, and what they needed to get on those dice rolls. Which is fine ...

So close to finishing this guy... have to admit I haven't bee as enthusiastic about painting the actual Lord as I have ben for the Dracoth. This may be a sign that I need to collect Seraphon... Also, apologies for the late upload. A bit of a kerfuffle in the boarding house last night. Nothing serious, just the usual that happens when you have boys living together. Just a bit of a chat to fix it all, but it did mean I didn't get in until late. Also I went around the school grounds picking flowers for my wife. International Women's Day yesterday.
