Stormcast Eternal Paint Planner

A few weeks ago, the fine people at Games Workshop released a paint planner for Primaris Space Marines. It was good if you wanted to print it off and colour it in by hand, but had way too many artefacts and blots for it to work in MS Paint, otherwise known as Baby's First Photoshop.
On my post, commenter Mal Edge asked this question:
You know what? He was right.
So I made this:
I realise that at this point I'm flirting heavily with copyright law, and just want to be clear I'm not making a penny from selling this planner. If anyone at GW wants me to remove it, just say the word (i.e. an email), and it's gone. However, I'll still be using this to help out my new student club members next year, so technically counts as educational use?
I'm not a lawyer, and have a teachers salary with a plastic toy soldier addiction. I'm not going to argue with anything vaguely legal looking.
Other than that, happy painting and scheming!
Until next time.
Thanks for reading.
If you liked what you saw, and you want to help out, please leave a comment. Sharing this with your friends, and following me on Twitter, Facebook or Google+ would also be hugely appreciated.
If you have anything you want me to look at, let me know in the comments below. I'll probably be able to write an article about that topic within a day!

any chance you know of a Stormcast painter aswell ?
seems like a missed opportunity by GWs in my eyes...

Primaris Space Marine Paint Planner
The good chaps over at Games Workshop marketing have just released a bit of fluff on the Ultima Founding, the latest crop of Space Marine chapters.
These are all based around the Primaris Space Marines, so expect your current Marines to fade away. Again, not a bad thing, as it's just a shift to True Scale Space Marines that still lets you play with your old stuff whilst you transition.
To help you buy their new models, Games Workshop have also given you a nifty line drawing of a Primaris Space Marine, so you can plan your new Chapter.
Now I'm certain they didn't intend to add all those little gaps in the lines making it hard for you to use simple drawing editors to plan your marines on computer, nor did they realise how difficult it would be to do so on .pdf format.
So I fixed it for them. Here's the same thing with the gaps filled in, and in easy to edit .jpeg format. Don't worry Gee Dubs... Tabletop Teacher's got your back!
UPDATE: The .jpeg was getting some…

Painting Guide: Blood Angels, perfecting the colour scheme
Looking for some tips on getting the best out of your Sons of Sanguinius? Want some simple ways of making your Blood Angels look good without having to get an art diploma first? Well let's get started then, and show you how to paint this Blood Angels Intercessor Space Marine.
Blood Angels were one of my first armies in 40K, and a favourite of many a neophyte and veteran alike. Their red colour scheme, along with Dark Angels Green and Ultramarines Blue, is one of the standard newbie palettes that can look good with only a little bit of skill. Like the others in that little triumvirate, it still has ways you can tweak it to be really great looking on table top.
What I've done here is nothing more than the standard Games Workshop recommended paint scheme, with some tweaks and tips to get to that 'eavy metal stage. I often see people copying what comes out of the Citadel Paint App or Duncan's videos, and never quite getting these results (usually darker without as much sh…

Space Marine Unit Spotlight: An Inceptor Review
Last week I looked at Aggressors, and it sparked a few conversations. One of the ideas that came up was comparing the various bolter fire support units that the Space Marine Codex has to offer. In a sentence, the Aggressors actually come out on top of the traditional bolter infantry (Sternguard, heavy bolter centurions, heavy bolter Devastators) in terms out raw output. There are of course other niches those units fill (Sternguard in drop pods being a key one of them), but those kinds of questions are what I hope these analyses bring up.
So now let's look at the new Fast Attack; Inceptors.
I'll be honest, the first time I saw them I was not very impressed. I thought they looked a little like flying nuns with power armoured wimples. But they'v grown on me, and after painting up a few, I really like the design! So let's dive in on how ti use them effectively.
As a caveat here, this is simply advice. The first and most important rule is "Have Fun", and the seco…
